There are very few things in this world that are as precious as a brand new baby.

The warmth, the snuggles…the way their tiny body fits snugly into your hands. The time is fleeting, and it goes by way too fast. As a mother, I know what it’s like to long for those first sweet days (even though you might have been sleep deprived!).

I’m a full service photographer, which means my sole job is to help you capture those moments, the ones you’ll treasure for a lifetime. Because we are full service, that means we are by your side from your initial inquiry until the moment we hand over your gorgeous, heirloom-quality prints and products.

We want you to have an unmatched session experience, followed by the joy of displaying your beautiful images on the walls of your home. Photos are meant to be seen and cherished, and not just languish in drawers.

Here are a few things you’ll love knowing when you book with us:

Your baby’s safety and comfort are our top priority. Our comfortable and welcoming studio is kept at an appropriate temperature to ensure maximum comfort. We provide everything you will need, including props, headbands, and wraps for your infant. All of our items are clean and sanitary, and we carefully curate each session with your baby in mind.
You get to relax during your session: Your newborn session is your chance to kick back and let me take over! I want you to enjoy this moment, watching your baby’s photo session unfold, and knowing that I have taken care of the details. Feel free to relax on your phone or tablet, to read a book, to visit with your significant other, or answer emails. This time is for you, and we provide the coffee, tea, and snacks!
Our sessions take place in our custom newborn studio in Humboldt, Iowa. We typically photograph all babies in their first two weeks. We strongly recommend that you book while you are still pregnant, ideally in your second trimester, so that we can ensure your spot is reserved. We understand that babies do not always arrive “on time”, so we work with each expectant parent as their due date approaches. Please let me know if you have already welcomed your baby, or if you’re further than your second trimester, and we are happy to work with you!

Grow With Me: Our First Year Plan

When you first welcome that tiny babe, and load them into the car in that unbelievably big carseat (seriously, they look so tiny in there!), photos may be the furthest thing from your mind! After all, whether you just gave birth, adopted, or welcomed a baby through a surrogate, your life just changed forever. As a mom myself, I remember feeling a bit shell-shocked, ecstatic, and overwhelmed all at once. So, when I began building a year-long baby plan for my amazing clients, I knew it would need to take the stress out of newborn and infant portraits. In fact, I knew it needed to be a way for parents to capture all the joy WITHOUT having to book multiple sessions.

Our Grow With Me Plan centers around you and your little one, and ensures that you will never have a stage of life that you missed. Your images will not just languish in drawers…you’ll end that amazing first year with actual prints and products, and memories that you’ll treasure forever.

So why book a whole year of portraits?

Simply put, life is busy. When you add a newborn into the mix, it also feels like time moves at warp speed. Many parents realize that they haven’t done photos in months, or even since their newborn session…and their baby has been changing right before their eyes!

What’s included?

Three full sessions that occur during baby’s first year.

Newborn session
Sitter session (Takes place around 6-7 months old, when baby can sit up unassisted)
1 year session
Complimentary family images at one of the above sessions.

After each session, you will receive prints and digital images, and after that amazing birthday session, you’ll receive a beautiful, heirloom quality album so you can have all of your favorite images in one place.

You can also have an additional session added, and receive 20% off the collection of your choice! Many mama's like to add-on a maternity session and a 3 month session. Lastly, you can choose to add on a cake smash ($50) and professional hair and makeup ($100 per session).

If you’re ready to book this Grow With Me option, please reach out today! We recommend booking this yearlong set of sessions when you are between 6 and 9 months pregnant. We understand that babies sometimes arrive early, and we can work with you if this happens. We also know that some moms don’t look for a newborn photographer until they give birth, so please reach out to us if you need accommodations made. We can’t wait to meet your little one!

Your Investment

We understand that there are many demands on your pocketbook these days! Your investment in newborn photos is important to us, and we believe in giving you the maximum value for your money!

The Grow with Me Plan is perfect for capturing every milestone! You will receive three custom sessions. After your session you will come back to the studio for a gallery reveal appointment where I can help you choose favorite images and sizes for your wall (if you're out of town I offer this over zoom too). Collections start at $700, each collection includes prints and pages that will go into your heirloom album after your final session.
Our customized individual session is $100, and includes a single portrait session. After your session, you are able to come back for your gallery reveal appointment and I will help you choose your favorite images and a collection that fits your needs. Most customers spend between $1000 - $2800

Viewing and Ordering

We will carefully edit and curate your images, and they will be available to view approximately 1-2 weeks after your session. I will reach out to you and will make an appointment with you to view and order your prints and products. I am happy to guide you through the process of choosing and deciding upon the items that you’ll treasure the most. Please be sure to measure any large spaces or walls before your ordering session.

I want you to love all of the products you choose. You are able to have Gallery Wrapped Canvas for your wall or Framed Prints. I can help you choose between beautiful heirloom albums or image boxes.
