Back in July, my Icon Team and I had the absolute pleasure of volunteering at the Dog Daze of Summer event. Yes, I might be a bit behind in posting these adorable photos, but trust me—they’re worth the wait! If you spot your sweet pup in the photos, feel free to download and share them.
This event was a heartwarming example of community spirit, with multiple shelters joining forces to make it happen. A big shoutout to Moffit's Animal Shelter right here in Humboldt, Lazy J Rescue Ranch, Lend a Paw, Peace Creek Animal Sanctuary, and Pup's and Paws. (I hope I listed them all) Not only did they come together for a great cause, but they also put on some fantastic activities for both kids and pets.
The day was packed with fun! The foam pit was an absolute hit, the bounce house had kids bouncing off the walls (literally), and the pup kissing booth melted everyone’s hearts. Temporary tattoos were all the rage, and the grill, generously supported by Fareway, kept everyone fueled up. And let’s not forget the snow cones—perfect for cooling down on that warm day.
It was amazing to see the surrounding communities come together, with vendors even donating a portion of their proceeds to the shelters. The support and camaraderie were truly inspiring.
If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry—another event is already in the works! Mark your calendars for Friday, August 16th, from 6-8 PM at Soldier Creek Winery.
In the meantime, don’t forget to download your favorite photos from the event here. Be sure to post and tag us, along with the shelter of your choice, so we can spread the love and joy these pups bring to our lives.
