It was pretty hard not to just fall in love with this sweet family. They are wonderful people, with hearts that are as genuine as they come. Nancy is the matriarch of the family, and she is incredibly warm and kind. She is now retired, but helped her late husband farm and worked hard for over twenty years. She is the proud mom to daughter Angela and her husband Barry, and her son Clayton. Clayton works in manufacturing, and Angela and Barry work as a dental coach and IT engineer. This shoot was something that she had considered for awhile, but decided it was the perfect time. “I am recently retired”, she adds, “and I’m loving life! Keeping up with our acreage keeps me very busy, and I also fill my time by volunteering with our local hospice program and with the Hometown Pride Organization. I also love to travel and experience new adventures.” Nancy also shared that as a parent, she loves and admires how her adult children are wonderful people inside and out, and notes how proud they’ve made her and her late husband.
As a family, they enjoy doing outdoor activities like snowmobiling, snowboarding, and golf, as well as going to Disney, riding huge roller-coasters and traveling abroad. “My late husband Denny and I were high school sweethearts”, continues Nancy, “We were married for 45 years, and he passed away in 2018. I miss not growing old together. We raised our children with our core values, like integrity, respect, honesty, compassion, and kindness”. I loved working with this family for this extended family shoot, and appreciated what Nancy had to say after the session: “Brittany was easy to work with, and kept us informed with what to expect! She was timely, and the morning light was perfect. She also made it convenient for us to view our photos and for me to choose my favorites for my wall. I’d gladly recommend her for a photo session.”
