You know that old saying "you're never to old to try something new?" It is oh so true! When a recent senior requested photos with a piano I had a vision in my head that I couldn't shake. It came to life just as beautiful as I pictured it! Meet Katie Currier, a senior here in Humboldt.
I love the whimsical background, and the ivory was absolutely the right choice for this. When I asked Katie what words she would use to describe herself one of them was musical. She has been playing the piano since she was 5 and also plays the ukulele, flute, and is just getting back into the violin. What a blessing that we were able to create something so beautiful that is truly near and dear to her heart.
I'm so thankful that Reed and Katie's dad were willing to risk their backs to make this happen. My husband may have mentioned divorce, but as you can see, it was totally worth it :)
Along with her musical instrument talents, Katie is also involved in choir, speech, the fall musical and spring play. Aside from school activities she also works part time at Fareway. So it should come as no surprise that the other word she used to describe herself was hardworking. Her future plans include attending a four year college. Currently she is debating between ISU and UNI with a possible major in psychology.
I asked Katie how she thought her friends would describe her. She said the would say she is loyal, outgoing, smart, respectful, friendly, caring, and reliable, she knows this because she asked them. After spending a few hours together I would have to say I agree. I could see all of those qualities and then some. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and getting to know Katie and wish her lots of success in the future!
