I don’t think this amazing young lady could shine any more brightly. Miss Kennedi is incredible, and getting to work with her was truly one of the best days this year! She’s a grad from Humboldt High School, where she has been working hard and learning a ton. “During my freshman year, I was the volleyball manager, and interacting and becoming closer with the girls and coaches was an amazing experience”, she explained, “During the rest of high school, I got a job, and have been spending lots of time with my family. I am also very involved in my church group”. Kennedi is a very humble, kind, easygoing person, who values treating others the way she would want to be treated. “One of my biggest role models is my sister”, she shared, “My sister has been a big role model in my life and has always gotten me through things. She’s nine years older than me, and because she was the first to go through high school and college, she gave me lots of advice for what to prepare for, and I have tried to make new friends along the way. In middle school, I only had a small group of friends, and we were all close, but in high school, I have gotten to come out of my shell”. In the fall, she hopes to attend Iowa Central Community College, and then transfer to the University of Northern Iowa. “I plan to study elementary education, because helping kids has always been a passion of mine”, she adds, “Kids have always given me a reason to smile, so I want to help them succeed as a teacher.”
Our time together was relaxed and fun, and working with Kennedi made my job super easy! She said, “I loved how Brittany and Heidi made me feel! I felt comfortable through the whole session, and had a lot of fun with lots of laughs. I chose Brittany because my sister went with her when she graduated, and her photos turned out amazing!” I have no doubt that this kind, others-centered young lady will do amazing things in her future. She is always thinking of everyone before herself, and the kids who will one day be in her classroom will be so incredibly lucky!
