What better excuse to interrupt the blog schedule than for my little love's 4th birthday? I know it is so cliche but WHY does it go so fast when you have little ones?! This party was as close as I've come to actually breaking down. I have a feeling bringing home a baby will only make him look older and it'll be over for me! Every mom goes through this, right?
Carson chose a John Deere theme for his 4th birthday. I was pretty proud of myself, kept things to a minimum, borrowed props and used what I had, Aunt Brandy made the cake and cupcakes and ya know what? It was a hit! The kids loved playing in the corn box with the tractors, the adults enjoyed each others company. Carson is so lucky to have so many people that love him!
As you can tell from the pictures he got a 4-wheeler. He was speechless and LOVED it!! He just wants to be down in the shop to make sure it still runs and to stare at it, of course also to take it for a spin too! He also got a floor jack for the shop that he was thrilled with. What 4 year old wouldn't want that?! We affectionately refer to him as our little redneck, he's a total shop kid and we wouldn't want it any other way. In true boy fashion he also got a nurf gun that he wants to love but so far he has big hopes of shooting it only to get overwhelmed and just run away! We have a ways to go with it.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my boy. I hope this is his best year yet, actually I hope it is for all of us! We have lots of changes coming up for our family, so for the next couple of months we will savor every second of him being an only child.
