There is a special place in my heart for this sweet family! I was able to do senior photos for not only sweet Yatzary, but also her older siblings. Getting to do multiple shoots for a family is something I treasure, and Yatzary is as beautiful and lovely as the siblings before her. She is graduating from high school soon, and is an aspiring artist. “My favorite subject was art in school,
because I had more control over what I could do with my assignments”, she shared, “I am pretty quiet and creative, and I am most creative when I am drawing”. She has honed lots of personal skills over the course of her high school career, but one important one is learning to manage her time and not take things too seriously! “I am also deeply passionate about equal rights for women, because women and men should have equal opportunities”, she added. Another interesting fact about her is that she is a minimalist, and although I didn’t get to chat much about it with her, I found that really awesome. This passionate, sweet young lady plans to attend college and later, move to Mexico. In addition, she hopes to backpack through Europe after graduation!
For her shoot, we focused on capturing that amazing smile, and giving her locations that showed off her creativity and energy. I loved the dark backdrop of the charcoal wall, and how it gave her an editorial style for those images, and then we did some more traditional senior photos, as well. When we work with a senior, we always want to give them more than one style, pose, etc., because everyone has different facets to their personality! Thanks to Yatzary and her family for allowing me to play such a fun role in their milestones!
