A few weekends ago, Lori from Happy Go Lucky hosted a fabulous event for the women of PEO, an international organization focused on supporting, educating, and empowering women through scholarships, grants, awards, and loans. PEO's mission is to celebrate women, and this event was a perfect reflection of that! Lori brought together some incredible women-run boutiques from Humboldt, Iowa, for a lively fashion show that showcased the diverse and unique styles each business offers.
If you're not familiar with PEO, it’s a network of women who are passionate about helping other women achieve their goals through education and support. If that sounds like something you’d love to be part of, I encourage you to learn more and join this amazing group of inspiring women. Learn more about PEO here.
Here’s a glimpse at the incredible businesses that participated in the fashion show and what they bring to our community:
- Genevieve’s: Located in the Humboldt Hospital, this boutique offers unique gifts and stylish women’s clothing. It’s the perfect spot to find a one-of-a-kind treasure or a chic outfit.
- Personali-Tees: Known for their high-quality graphic tees, their focus is all about celebrating local pride, especially with Humboldt Wildcat sports apparel.
- The Good Stuff: This Christian-based shop, ran by talented sisters, specializes in uplifting and unique graphic tees. Their designs are full of heart and meaning.
- Protea: While they offer some clothing, Protea shines in gifts and décor. Whether you're looking for a thoughtful present or a home refresh, this boutique has you covered.
- The Western Edge: Offering a wide selection of western wear for men, women, and kids, this shop is also home to an incredible variety of boots and Dude shoes—a must-visit for western enthusiasts and honestly anyone looking for quality clothing.
- Carbon Boutique: Trendy, stylish, and always on point, Carbon offers women’s clothing as well as options for kids, making it a one-stop shop for fashion-forward families.
- Gravity: Once exclusively a men’s boutique, Gravity now caters to everyone with everything from sleek business attire to cozy, fashionable hoodies. They invited the Icon girls to model their clothing, adding a youthful and vibrant touch to the show.
- The Boathouse Apparel: Located in Arnolds park you're going to find comfy lake house attire and fashionable looks when you're ready to go out for a nice dinner.
I had the absolute honor of photographing this amazing event. My role was to capture candid, fun moments of the models showcasing each boutique’s styles. These branding photos will help the businesses share the joy of the event and highlight their offerings online. I loved seeing the confidence and excitement of the models as they strutted their stuff—it’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do.
A Big Thank You
