Every once in a while, a senior session feels less like work and more like spending time with a dear friend. That’s how I felt about sweet Kaysie, a 2025 grad from Humboldt High School. From the minute she signed up as a ISC team member, I knew it was going to be a special session. This precious girl is the kind of person who puts everyone around them at ease. She is thoughtful, kind, and is a true leader in the classroom and outside of it. Whether it’s her leadership in FFA or the way she manages her school’s football team, Kaysie embodies a sense of care for others that is rare and beautiful.
I ask all my senior clients to describe themselves, and Kaysie used words like “kind” and “leader”. No big surprise there. She has a heart for helping others, whether it’s mentoring younger students through FFA or stepping up as the “mom” of her friend group. During high school, this sweet girl has immersed herself in so many activities that reflect her passions. She’s a football manager, drawing inspiration from her childhood friend who showed her how impactful that role could be, and a member of SkillsUSA, where her love for woodworking and welding has flourished. And in FFA, Kaysie’s farm roots and love for agriculture found a perfect outlet, allowing her to connect with friends from other schools and share her knowledge with younger students. Her favorite subject? Health class: because it aligns perfectly with her future goals of becoming an ultrasound technician. Her innate love for helping others shines in this choice, so that was no surprise to me!
Kaysie’s senior session was everything I could have hoped for and more. She told me she wasn’t nervous beforehand because we’d chatted on the phone, and she’d already seen my work (the best compliment!). When the day arrived, it was like magic. Afterward, she shared how she loved how laid-back and smooth the session felt…a vibe I always aim for to make seniors comfortable enough to truly be themselves. Kaysie brought such a lighthearted energy, and she looked stunning in every setting we chose. She later told me, “The spots were everything I could dream of, it was like Brittany could read my mind!”
Despite being so young, she shared so much wisdom during our session. One of the biggest lessons she’s learned in high school is the importance of two-sided friendships. “If they want to hang out, they’ll ask,” she reflected, a reminder to value relationships where effort goes both ways. If she could go back and give her freshman self advice, Kaysie would say, “It doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks of you, just be yourself.” And that’s exactly what she’s done.
Looking ahead, Kaysie has big dreams. Beyond her career, this bright and capable girl dreams of traveling to the Maldives, seeing the Sea of Stars, and exploring the beauty of Venice. Her favorite quote, Joshua 1:9, sums up her approach to life perfectly: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you.” When her friends ask how her senior session went, this grad says she’ll tell them it was amazing! Kaysie, thank you for letting me be a part of your senior year. Your kindness, leadership, and quiet strength inspire everyone around you, and I can’t wait to see the incredible things you accomplish in the future.
