Occasionally, there’s a senior session that has just a touch of magic. Syler’s session was one of them. From the first moments together, it didn’t feel as much like a photoshoot as much as an afternoon hanging out together. I always tell my seniors that these sessions should be fun and relaxed, and Syler made that easy. His laid-back personality and natural confidence made for some incredible shots, and the whole experience just felt….effortless.
One of the best parts? We got to visit a truly special place: Syler’s grandma’s old house. There’s something so powerful about tying your senior photos to a location with history and meaning. It adds another layer of depth to the session, making the photos even more personal and sentimental. Watching his face light up as we got to that spot was a reminder of why I love what I do!
Beyond the locations, what made this session great was how comfortable and natural everything felt. There were no worries or nerves with this awesome grad, just an easy, laid-back experience that captured who Syler really is. I want every senior session to feel natural and easy, like spending time with a friend rather than posing for a camera. The best photos come when you're just being yourself, and with Syler, that happened effortlessly. We had fun, wandered through meaningful spots, and captured moments that felt real.
Syler describes himself as humble and nice, and after spending time with him, I’d say that’s spot on! A dedicated football and golf player, he values teamwork and the friendships built along the way. He’s also got a love for math (which he finds easy; it’s good to know there are some of us who find math easy!) and looks up to his dad for his strong work ethic and dedication to growing their family business. Those values of hard work and leadership shine through in everything he does, especially on the football field, where he sets an example for younger players.
As for the future? Syler’s got big plans (no surprise) either starting his own business or taking over the family restaurant, Pasquale’s. With the drive and determination he’s already showing, I have no doubt he’ll succeed in whatever he sets his mind to. He also hopes to travel after graduation, taking a little time to see the world before diving into his next adventure. His advice for underclassmen? "It goes by fast." And he’s right…senior year is a whirlwind, which is why it’s so important to take a step back and enjoy every moment.
To anyone looking for a senior photographer, I hope this gives you a glimpse into how fun and meaningful these sessions can be. My goal is always to create an experience that’s relaxed, enjoyable, and truly reflects who you are. If you're a senior (or a parent of one!) looking to capture this special time, I’d love to chat and plan a session just for you.
