I LOVE working with businesses and helping them tell their story. This last month I had the pleasure of working with Sister's Homestyle Entrees here in Humboldt, Iowa.

The Beginnings of their Heartfelt Venture

Deb Davis, the heart and soul behind Sisters Home Style Entrees, started what was initially a hobby in 2011, preparing meals for family and friends. Her passion for quality and service transformed her small-scale hobby into a booming enterprise. We have an amazing team of managers and employees who transformed her small-scale hobby into a booming enterprise. Deb had a dream but could not have fathomed helping thousands of people without the help of co-owner Mary Catherine Ferry and the team of employees that have taken Sister's Homestyle Entrees to the level that it is today. Without all of our astounding employees, this would not be possible. They are dedicated and have amazing teams and systems to keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly. 

Today, the business has expanded to an industrial-sized kitchen with more than 50 dedicated employees. Together, they prepare over 75,000 meals a month, serving not just all of Iowa but also its bordering states. Deb's journey from a casual hobby to a critical service highlights the power of passion fueled by a desire to make a difference in people's daily lives.

Our Mission at Sister’s Home Style Entrees is to provide individuals and families the opportunity to eat home-style meals made from the best ingredients at an affordable price. We cater largely to the elderly and homebound population as a tool for individuals to remain independent in their own homes by having a great selection of nutritious meals available in their freezer. Families love the convenience and flexibility as well.

Looking Ahead at Sister's

We are excited about the future, including our plans to expand our freezer space to store more meals, ensuring that we continue to meet the growing demands of our customers across Iowa and neighboring states. We offer a 24-hour delivery window for anyone who orders online. We're also thrilled to offer our meals directly from our production facility to the local people who live in Humboldt. It was such an honor to work with Sister's Homestyle and hear their story. Any questions I had all of the employees lit up with enthusiasm to tell me all the things they do and how they help others and the community right here in Humboldt. It makes my heart so full watching people grow, learn, and love what they do every day.
