What is senior year? I like to view it as a stepping stone before your next big adventure! As the final chapter of your high school journey unfolds, it’s a time when every experience, every friendship, and every lesson learned (even the hard ones) weave into a tapestry that will shape your life. I remember it like it was yesterday (even though more than a few years have passed since my senior year), and I remember that feeling of excitement. So, when I met up with Madisyn to capture her senior year, all those memories flooded back. She’s a vibrant and sweet senior from Dakota City, and she brought loads of contagious energy with her. Her mom, Krystle, was just as lovely as her daughter, and I knew we were going to have so much fun!
This precious gal describes herself as kind, honest, and outgoing, and everyone in her life would agree. She’s got an authentic type of personality…what you see is what you get, and she’s as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. At Humboldt High School, she excelled at drill team, where her love of dance merged with her love of people. Besides drill team, her other passion is language and writing, making it no surprise that it was her favorite subject in school. Although she is inspired by dance and academics, she says her biggest source of inspiration is her mom. And what drives this girl? It’s her unwavering commitment to spreading joy whoever she goes, and she shared that one important lesson she learned during high school was, “to never judge a book by it’s cover”. “If I could turn back time and tell my freshman self something”, she adds, “I would tell myself to enjoy every moment and avoid procrastination”.
Not only an exceptional student and person, Madisyn also plans to do big things in her future. She’s considering a foray into the beauty world, where she plans to help people boost their confidence with esthetic treatments. After graduation, she also plans to travel to plenty of new places! When we began planning her shoot, this grad had high hopes, and I am thrilled to say we exceeded them! She adds that she felt “right at home” in the process.
We loved being part of her senior year, and this session was a testament to her remarkable achievements. To all the seniors out there, we can give you an experience like this one, and we can get started today!
