Maternity Pictures

I am six weeks from my due date TODAY! This pregnancy has flown by. Maybe it's her crazy older brother keeping me busy, or my busy workload, or the remodel project that is taking up literally every spare second we have so that she has a beautiful nursery to come home to, or maybe a combination of those things and just life in general. I'm still feeling really good. Limited sleep catches up with me some days but overall I cannot complain. At this stage I rely a lot on my moms that bring their kiddos in. I get in my position on the floor and they are in charge of fetching for me... props...equipment...kids I can't keep up with... I think it's just an unwritten sympathy rule we women have for one another. 

At home we are finally finishing her room so that I can decorate. I cannot wait to show you guys the finished project, it is going to be so beautiful! I'm anxious to go through all the cute girly clothes I've acquired and get all my baby stuff ready and washed up. Carson has proclaimed that he is ready to share his old baby stuff and we are praying this excitement continues. We also voted that Dad gets dirty diaper duties, you read it here online, so it has to be true, right?! What he's actually most anxious for is giving her a ride on his 4-wheeler. Shocking, I know!

I cannot put into words my feelings for the upcoming weeks. Excitement, Fear, Joy, Anxiety, Happiness, all of it. I think in some ways it's scarier the second time around because we know what we're in for. Diapers and bottles and the ever dreaded pumping... it's like we have this unspoken bond, just the thought of the sound makes me wince in pain! A love/hate relationship of sorts, I know all you mamas out there know what I'm talking about.

Above all else I am so thankful daily for this blessing that is our daughter. She was strong and fierce from the get go and I am just so ready to meet her in the flesh. I'm sure you've all read about our journey to get to where we are which is why I decided to take my own advice and get in front of the camera! This is what we prayed and payed for and I couldn't be more proud to show my ever growing baby bump!
