Jacqueline's Senior Session: Class of 2025

This adorable senior (Jacquelyn) brought the most calm, confident energy to her session, and the entire shoot unfolded so smoothly because of it. The fall colors showed up in full force, and those red leaves she loved gave us the kind of backdrop photographers dream about. Every location we hit just worked with her vibe. She moved through each spot like she’d been doing this forever, and I was here for it.

There was no awkward start or shy warming up. From the first click, she was fully herself, which is authentically the best thing you can hope for. Her comfort with being in front of the camera made space for real, easy moments. There were a few times I looked through the lens and thought, yep, this is exactly who she is right now. Not a version of her. Just her. This sweet and thoughtful girl described herself as empathetic, organized, and hardworking, and you could see each of those traits in the little things. The way she thought carefully through her poses, the way she talked about balancing school and life, even the way she told stories during our walk from one spot to the next. She’s the kind of person who tunes in to what’s around her and still stays grounded in who she is.

Jacquelyn’s love for her family stood out the most for me. She lights up when she talks about her parents and how much she admires their work ethic and the way they always stay hopeful. She’s also a proud older sister and takes that role seriously. Not in a loud or showy way, but just by choosing to lead with intention and kindness. We also talked about her creative side. She’s super into makeup and has been experimenting with bold eyeliner looks, which I absolutely love (and I thought about asking her for some pointers!). She’s got an eye for details and a sense of fun that makes her style so personal. Music is her other outlet, and together those two things are her space to express herself without rules. Her favorite quote, “If you have a dream, don’t let anybody take it away,” fits her perfectly.

Bright-eyed and hopeful, she is heading to college with a full heart and a whole list of goals. She’s still figuring out exactly what path she’ll take, but one thing is clear, she’s dreaming big. Skydiving and travel are at the top of her list after graduation, and I’ll be cheering her on through all of it.
